Email Productivity and Effectiveness Survey
Luckily no-one has to write a cheque to cover the cost of poor email habits.
All businesses track the cost of their email infrastructure: email servers, software licenses and so on. But few organisations measure the cost of poor email habits and processes that have evolved as we try to stay in control of an excessive volume of email, and the work that this brings.
An Email Productivity and Effectiveness Survey will assist in measuring the impact of the existing email habits on individual productivity and well-being in your organisation. Understanding the extent of the problem is the first step towards addressing it.
How is the survey administered?
It is administered via a carefully constructed online survey that takes approximately 6 minutes to complete. Survey responses are anonymous to encourage people to be frank and open in their responses.
What does the survey cover?
The survey covers:
- Knowledge of existing company email policies
- Email overload and its impact
- Frequency of email checks
- Priority of email as a communication tool
- Organizational email culture issues
What is the process for administering the survey?
The survey is comprised of the following stages:
- An initial meeting is held with key contacts to provide background information on existing policies and procedures.
- The survey is created and branded with your company's logo and colours.
- A link to the survey is distributed via email to all members of the organisation. Two weeks are allowed for people to complete the survey with a reminder email sent after one week.
- Survey responses are collected and collated by Email Smart.
- A Summary of Findings and Recommendations Report is presented to management and key contacts.
What are the deliverables following the survey?
At the completion of the survey process you will have:
- A thorough understanding of the email issues in your organisation
- An understanding of the cost to the organisation of these email issues.
- A comprehensive report documenting the issues
- A detailed strategy on how to address them with indicative costs.
